Welcome to Dorky Dino

Nice to meet you! I am Brandi Miller, an artist, designer, and geek. My goal in life is to make people happy. Specifically, I want to make people happy with my artwork, by using bright colors and cute animals to bring nostalgic memories of childhood. I want people to realize they should celebrate their dorkiness, instead of hiding it. Everyone is different, and we should be celebrating those differences!

People often ask me when I started doing art, but the truth is, I just never stopped. We're all creators when we are kids, and I never lost that interest. I continued creating casually throughout high school, and then went to University of Central Missouri and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design and a minor in photography. In my senior year of uni, I started Dorky Dino.

Dorky Dino is my small art business where I sell my original creations. In my shop you can find original paintings, art prints, handmade jewelry, cute charms, and more! I love applying my designs to different types of products, and I hope to expand to even more products soon.

I am blogging as a way to share my passions, experience, and journey as an indie business owner, artist, and mama. Follow my blog to find insights into my art process, interviews with creators, new product launches, and works in progress.

As a business owner and a busy mama with a full time day job, I understand having a busy schedule! I plan to make my posts short, sweet, and easily-read so that all the other busy people out there can glean insights without getting bogged down.

If you're reading my blog, you probably have an interest in art, parenting, or adorable things. Guess what, me too! I love interaction, so please feel free to leave comments or email me at admin@dorkydino.com if you have questions or suggestions. You can also contact me if you are interested in guest blogging or being interviewed. Last but not least, don't forget to subscribe so you can stay up-to-date and see when there are new posts.
